Story - The Enchanted Woods

In Little Bumbleton, a curious girl lived. She had heard rumours about an enchanted wood. In the middle of that wood was a haunted house. Nobody dared to go there except that curious little girl. Her name was Fiona. She made two friends there!

It all started on dark clear night. Fiona had been informed that she shouldn’t go to that wood. Did Fiona care?  No. So, off she went. She had a backpack in which she packed:

1.      Extra set of clothes

2.      Her mobile phone

3.      An extra fat book

4.      Her piggybank (just in case)

5.      Some food

6.      Her large water bottle

She stepped out of the house and started to walk at a risk pace. It wasn’t along walk and she reached before she knew it. When she was at the start of the wood, she thought “should I go in or not?” she decided she would go in. She followed a path while gazing at fireflies. “This place is peaceful” she thought. She plodded along the path until it stopped. Exactly where it stopped, Fiona saw was a huge haunted house. She opened the door and, as she expected, it creaked. There was a dim light coming from a dim chandelier. She was scared but determined and reassured herself by saying “no, you are fearless Fiona.” She heard a scuttling behind her. She jumped. Then she screamed as two hairy pincers held her tight. “Don’t get scared, we just want to be friends” said the hairy spider who owned the pincers which were clinging onto Fiona. She was calmed by this speech and replied, “what’s your name then?”

“Crawler” replied Crawler “and this is Creeper.” Crawler let go off Fiona and she saw another spider.

“What’s your name?” asked Creeper.

“Fiona” replied Fiona.

“Great name!” Creeper and Crawler replied.

Fiona blushed and said “thanks”. “So, I guess I’ll be meeting you tomorrow” she said happily

“Oh-yes-come-at-dinner-we’ll-have-a-feast-ready-a-human-feast-as-we-eat-what-humans-eat-all-for-free!” Creeper and Crawler said at the same time. “jinks!” they said and chuckled.

“Thanks for the invitation” Fiona replied “well, I’ll be off then”

She walked back home and dropped into bed. She decided to keep this friendship a secret. Nowadays, she goes to the haunted house by saying “Mum, I need to go.” Mum let her go and that is how she escaped.

Now the two hairy spiders and Fiona are best friends!

THE END!
